For the fourth year running, trustees of St Ives Community Fund provided a meal at the Guildhall in St Ives on Christmas Day 2018, and this year, more people than ever came. The lunch was available for anyone who wished to come for whatever reason and there was ,as usual, no charge.
The food was prepared by June Hornby of Ruby Murries curries and trustee Tamsyn Williams, and a trusty team of volunteers did an excellent job of serving and clearing.
A regular at the lunch, Bruce Anderson-Smith, gave a speech in which he thanked all those involved and said how much the event meant to people like him. He said: ‘ This has been a wonderful occasion. It is the third year I have been and it is getting bigger and better each year. I think it is excellent’
